Nice little tool and even though small it has some weight to it. It’s a Leatherman on steroids and well worth the $40.00.

My wife and I were tired of our 20-year old and battered garden shovels and forks. When I saw this set I was amazed by the price. We recieved them promptly and they look and feel beautiful. I happen to know that stainless steel comes in many qualities and I have no way to know how they will hold up. But it gave my wife and I reason to look forward to the Spring thaw in Chicagoland. That’s probably worth the price alone.
One more thing. I sure wish that these tools were made in America. While I support free trade and admire the great country of China, I’m growing tired of the fact that every product on my shelf says Made in China. It’s scary.
These shovels are very well made. They were the perfect christmas gift for my gardener mom.
Much smaller than expected, should have paid closer attention to the specs. Nice Paperweight.
I gave this tool to my brother in law and he seemed to really like it. It’s smaller than I thought it would be but that turned out to be better because it would make it easier to strap to your belt if you went hiking, camping, outback snowboarding etc. The weight is not too bad either. Overall seems pretty good.
This is actually a very nifty and well made tool. Excellent quality. One major gripe though – it’s quite small! What good is a little 6 inch axe? I didn’t read the physical description very well I guess. Really a nice tool and a pretty good price as long as you realize how small it is and have a use for such a tool. I don’t.
I used this fork 4 times and it broke easily. I was digging Aralia nudacalis roots in gravel and the handle snapped. I was hoping it would be stronger, but it is pretty.
I was lucky enough to get this as a gift from the love of my life and was amazed that a digging fork could be so beautiful. This is no prima donna though. It’s a hard working, comfortable, quality tool that any gardener would be delighted to own. Highly recommended!
This is a very satisfactory implement. Does it shed dirt and mud like a politician sheds guilt? Perhaps not. But it’s sturdy, and the handle is indeed a work of art. The fit and finish are indicative of a product made in China (some very minor quality control issues), but the overall tool is well worth the cost, and then some. This fork will no doubt outlive me and be passed on to my kids should they care to till the earth. A sad comment when we measure our years in garden tools, but a clear indicator of the relative worth of this item.
Warning!
Seems a simple choice: Read reviews of garden tools elsewhere online; Come to Amazon to buy; See top quality British garden tools. Then see Brook & Hunter alternative suggested in the sidebar. Hmmm, looks like the more expensive British tool at a lower price. Name could be American…let’s buy that, save $30 and perhaps keep jobs at home…
When I got this, the crooked tines were a surprise. I examined closely. Uh oh! No country of origin stamp anywhere–and that usually means you know who… the toy and puppy poisoners of PRC. Read the “life guarantee” : badly fractured English. The factory in Guangdong printed “delicate” and when copying “dedicated” from the real maker’s label.
I looked at the tines again: more than crooked, each one a different shape — a very shoddy copy of the British tool sold elsewhere on Amazon.
Think you are getting the equivalent of an $89 British tool for $59?
Think again. You are getting ripped off.
This is a $15 Chinese cheapy with a shiny finish. Try collecting on the “guarantee” in a couple years when the distributor and factory have moved on to operate under a different name.
Beware. Don’t get ripped off.
Quite impressed, my son and I put this together without much difficulty and it attached to the bed easily. One area to watch is that it is heavy and must rest on the floor even when attached to the bed. We ended up using triangular door jam wedges to level and take the stress off the attach points. Works great once set-up!
