Have been using Bach products for years and ultimately pleased with ‘Rescue Remedy’. This product should be in every environment that involves animals, as it is an extremely safe and effective solution for supporting animals experiencing ‘any’ type of stress. Used it for both my cats when flying over a 5 hour flight – no medications were involved and they did wonderful.
What’s your favorite Jack’s Mannequin song?
They’re pretty much all my favorites…but Rescue Mannequins Aquatics I love “Dark Blue”, “The Mixed Tape”, and “Rescued” from Everything in Transit, and then “Spinning”, “Swim”, and “Hammers and Strings” from The Glass Passenger.

In years past, before setting these traps, our house was swarmed by hundreds, if not thousands, of wasps and yellow jackets. We had dozens of their nests on and around the house. It was horrible. We could hardly hang out on the deck outside at all. And we, and our dogs, were stung when inadvertently getting near one of their nests.
When I put three of these traps up in the EARLY spring, so as to hopefully catch the queens before nests were created, we caught hundreds of them in these traps. We get an occasional wasp now, but that’s fine. We are not swarmed and as far as I can tell there are no nests.
The first year we used these, last year, we put them up in the middle of the summer. We caught a lot even that way, but it worked MUCH better setting them up in the EARLY spring, like March.
Thanks to these babies we can spend time on our deck again. I only wish there were a way to deal with this problem without killing. I don’t kill lightly, but this problem was too horrible and something had to be done. The only other solution I could think of was to move! And that is not realistic.
I bought this lure and rebaited my Yellow Jacket Trap from last summer. We had a hot dry summer in Atlanta last year and were simply swarmed with the mean beasties. I figured that putting out the lure would snag the queens out flying around and prevent nests in my yard this year. The trap (rebaited) has been out for 3 weeks and hasn’t attracted a single queen… or even a wasp for that matter. I got tons of yellow-jackets with hotdog pieces last summer and I can guarantee that hot dog pieces were a LOT cheaper than this lure. I will leave it out with this bait (said to be good for 10 weeks) and then go back to my tried and true hot dog bits. At this point, it looks like I wasted my money. I will update this at the end of the 10 weeks and see if things improve.
I bought both the cartridge and the trap and did not catch one wasp this year. I followed the directions to the letter and the trap has hung all spring and summer…nada! Darn it! I was hoping to find something that works! Very disappointing!
I always have many wasps. One year caught 1004 queens. I have to empty my traps at least once a week. I have 12 traps out. I live on a ranch and the water for the horses attract the pests and that where the traps come in. Excellent product.
I love the trap that only traps yellow jackets. It works and is so easy to set up. This multi-purpose one is hard to set up, and place. It is heavier to carry, and doesn’t hang as well on a tree branch. Placing wet bait, water and a little vial in the top makes is top heavy. When the 2 weeks are up, you have to empty the dry bottom and the wet top. And since paper wasps and yellow jackets tend to be a problem in different areas, is really a waste of money.
It has trapped some yellow jackets, and no wasps or hornets. However, since I’ve had this, I have had 2 wasps in my house! The trap is about 60 feet from the house, which is best for trapping the yellow jackets. Wasps tend to hang out close to the house.
In past summers I have used the single purpose yellow jacket trap with either their bait, or just a piece of cheap lunch meat. I has always worked like a dream and been easy to move, fill, empty, etc. No liquids to spill in the old version.
We have tons of wasps living all around our wooded home, so purchased this trap to give my sons and I some peace. It’s been two weeks and I haven’t caught anything. I have seen at least 10 wasps fly right by without any interest!
Followed instructions to the letter, even moving it a few times to ensure correct proximity from nest. No wasps in the trap, and they’re still happily buzzing around the deck and yard. Visited the company’s website, and in the blog comments about this product, others are having the same experience – not a single endorsement. Even wasps that get in can easily get out.
I purchased 5 Rescue “yellow jacket” traps discounted at Lowe’s. The discounted price should have given me a clue. I have yet to catch one yellow jacket. I got one wasp/yellow jacket by accident I believe. So, I called the company regarding the quality of the attractorant, thinking perhaps it was old. The company rep told me the attractorant has a very long shelf life and that I had purchased, perhaps the wrong type of trap. The rep suggested I have wasps, not yellow jackets and I need to purchase the “WHY” trap. I see here on Amazon the “WHY” trap is for wasps and yellow jackets. I do better making a trap out of two liter soda bottle with dish detergent on a piece of old meat. Saving myself the purchase price of any future traps.
Perhaps my expectations were too high……i really thought I’d get a tad more “settling down” of my hyper dog.Bach Rescue Remedy Pet (0.35fl oz)
My parents Brittany Spaniel was on these the last few years of her life. She lived to be 19, and was walking around much better on these than she had been on the previous pills. And she loved the taste.
Location seems to be critical for this trap to work. I’ve had it mounted in the same location outdoors hanging under a hickory tree for a month. So far have only caught 2 Yellowjackets. I guess it would be more effective if place by a nest, around trash cans, under a fruit tree, etc. wherever Yellowjackets would congregate?
With the included attractant I caught one yellowjacket. They preferred to go to the hummingbird feeder and when I took the feeder down they flew away. Using apple juice I caught some even with the feeder up and more when I took the feeder down. They live for several days and most of them eventually escaped at night. Next year I will put this in the refrigerator each night to chill the yellowjackets, kill them while they are torpid, and then put it back up. Apple juice worked in the fall but something else might be required in the spring.
I have used these traps for yellow jackets around our yard. They only get yellow jackets, but that is all I am after with this. I have one out almost all year. They catch some all year round, too. We live in an agricultural area between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe in California. Since I am allergic to stings, I rely on these to keep me from too many encounters. We like to eat outside and once these are up, it is possible. If we do not have them up, there are 10 or more yellow jackets buzzing us and making it impossible to eat.
I am allergic to the yellow jacket sting. I have two of these traps hanging in my trees front and back of my house. Let the purchaser be informed, that these traps will not to lure the entire nest into the container, unless maybe it is placed next to the nest. It does capture and hold the critters so that I might have an inventory and feel for how big an infestation I might have in my yard. It uses a chemical lure that has to be replaced about every 2 weeks. So far I have been able to find replacement lure at Ace Hardware and Lowes Home Improvement stores. The traps are used over and over, only the lure is replaced. I have tried a “bait” trap that uses fruit juice, such as apple, but I could not see how many bugs were being captured. I will keep the Rescue Re-useable Yellowjacket trap all year long.
I’ve had this trap hanging off my back deck for about 4-5 days now and have not caught even one yellow jacket! I’ve watched yellow jackets fly all around my deck and never even appear interested in this thing. About 2 days after I hung it up I got excited because one actually landed on it. I thought, “Well, maybe it just needed to be up for a couple days for them to catch the scent or something.” After watching it crawl around the entrance to the trap for about 30 seconds it flew away!!!!!! And it’s not like you can really mess up when it comes to setting this thing up. It’s just pop the top, add water, and hang it up. Very disappointed! I have to admit though, my title is a bit misleading. The trap did a very nice job of catching rain water.
Their old attractant caught TONS of yellow jackets so I am experienced with this trap. The white attractant has not caught anything except a few flies and crickets. The company is great however and has agreed to work with me if I continue to be dis-satisfied. I am giving it one more try and using apple juice this time instead of water.
I followed the directions to the tee. It did not mention anything about diluting with anything but water.
I set the trap out in the evening: 9:00 Aug. 1st. I just checked now, 6:30 PM Aug. 2nd and not one insect except the ones that were pictured on the product. The so called white packet of attractant did NOT dissolve. Maybe they should have recommended using HOT water.
I will need to go out there tonight and attempt to shake up the packet in hopes that the attractant dissipates.
What a royal pain …… If I have any luck I will write another review.

I bought this product because of the postive reviews. What a waste! Since I have captured 0 yellow jackets I wish I could give it 0 stars. I have moved the trap several times; in the sun, out of the sun, etc but have not caught anything. I really have to think about those other reviews, maybe some of them work for this company.
One if those “boy am I glad I stumbled across this” buys! Needed to repair/replace zippers and sliders in my tent trailer. Hadn’t been able to find correct sliders for various size windows & panels. Was able to fix EVERY zipper using two kits. Third Zipper Rescue Kit is now in my tent trailer repair box.
Instructions are excellent and actually interesting & entertaining.
Canvas repair place installed two window zippers backward and windows didn’t open right way. Took advice in instructions and called ZRK. What a treat! Lady was extremely helpful. Offered detailed instructions (“I bet the flat side of the slider is pointed down & the pointy side up” She was right!”. And even said to make sure I called back with any questions.
I got exactly what I ordered, a kit that enabled me to fix a couple of items that had broken zippers. I quite enjoyed fixing my nice wool jacket with a new zipper.
